Today I managed to finalise the two glass pieces I made during the murrine masterclass with Giles Bettison. For me, my inspiration came from the colours of south east Alaska where I had been immediately prior to the workshop. Thanks to @ruthallengl

Today I managed to finalise the two glass pieces I made during the murrine masterclass with Giles Bettison. For me, my inspiration came from the colours of south east Alaska where I had been immediately prior to the workshop. Thanks to @ruthallenglass and her amazing team for pulling this altogether and keeping us organised, to @glassgiles for giving us all your time, expertise and encouragement, and to @junipermaffescioniglass for helping me with the cold working @creative.australia @bullseyeglassco

My home away from home, the beautiful Island Odyssey with the amazing Alaskan peaks in the background and a short video of an amazing encounter at Anan Creek Bear Observatory in the Tongass National Forest. It was hard to start the trip home.

For the last 6 or 7 years I’ve been lucky enough to have a pair of swamp harriers nesting on the water near home. This year, I’ve been even luckier in eventually spotting the nest site just as the pair of juveniles are spending time on the ground next to the nest.
